Once you have started assembling a kit you take responsibility for following the assembly and usage instructions accurately and safely.
If you encounter difficulties assembling one of our kits, we will endeavour to provide the support that you need to complete assembly. We will rely on your co-operation to communicate the information (such as clear photographs, multi-meter readings etc.) we need to be able to diagnose problems and to provide assistance.
If we establish there is a problem with the kit itself we can provide a replacement kit or replacement parts as we deem to be appropriate. Problems must be reported to us within 30 days of receipt of the kit to be eligible and you must follow the returns process outlined below.
In some rare cases a kit may be damaged beyond recovery during assembly by not following the instructions correctly. While we will offer all the help we can, we cannot guarantee success. It is your responsibility to ensure you are competent to follow the assembly before placing an order and have access to the correct tools.
Our pre-built modules are extensively tested before packing and shipping. If you encounter problems within the first 30 days of use of a module we will provide support to resolve or diagnose issues and if we determine that the product itself is faulty we will take it back for a replacement or a refund, as outlined in the returns process below.
Outside this 30 day period, we will aim to provide support you need to work through any problems. Any offer to repair items outside this period is at our discretion and we may ask you to cover costs of any replacement parts and postage.
We are not responsible for any personal injury or damage to equipment etc. that may result from construction or use of our products or kits.
If you change your mind about an order, you may cancel it up until 14 days after receipt for a refund. If the product has already been dispatched, you must return it unopened, unused and undamaged. You need to pay the return postage.
We cannot offer refunds for any kit or product that is not returned in original condition. In particular we cannot refund a DIY kit once you’ve started building it (e.g. removed any parts from packing materials, used any type of tool or otherwise marked or modified a part).
For any item being returned to us for any reason you must contact us before sending the item.
Items must be returned using a service that offers a tracking number and a signature on delivery. We will not be able to issue a refund for items that are lost in transit back to us.
If you are returning a product or kit for refund or repair from outside the United Kingdom we must insist that you clearly mark the customs label as “Product returned to vendor for refund” or “Faulty product returned to vendor, no $ value”. If you fail to do so we reserve the right to refuse to take the kit back or to charge you for the resulting customs handling fees.
